This afternoon (February 18), the Vietnam women's national team officially resumed training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to continue their preparation for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup finals.
Amid the lively atmosphere of early spring, when families gather to enjoy the New Year festivities, the members of the Vietnam women's team have been diligently training, ready to face new challenges in 2026.
Notably, on the first training day of the Year of the Horse, the President of the Vietnam Football Federation, Tran Quoc Tuan, visited the entire team, providing important moral support.
At the meeting, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan extended New Year greetings to the coaching staff and players, especially recognizing and praising the team's focused, serious attitude and proactive spirit upon returning to training. The year 2026 holds special significance for the Vietnam women's national team as they participate in the Asian Championship finals. VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan urged the coaching staff and players to continue fostering unity, determination, and to prepare thoroughly in terms of skills, fitness, and mental readiness, aiming to achieve outstanding results and meet the expectations of their fans.

On behalf of the team, Head Coach Mai Duc Chung emotionally thanked the VFF leadership for their care and encouragement. According to the schedule, the Vietnam women's national team will train for 10 days in Hanoi before departing for Perth (Australia) on February 27, ready to embark on their challenge at the 2026 Asian Championship finals.
