Coach Hứa Hiền Vinh officially joined Becamex TP.HCM on February 20, taking on the role with the U15 squad within the club’s youth training system overhaul.
Coach Hứa Hiền Vinh officially joined Becamex TP.HCM from February 20 (the 4th day of the Bính Ngọ Lunar New Year 2026), marking a significant step in the club’s comprehensive restructuring plan. After much speculation, this deal was finally confirmed, bringing new hope to the club’s youth training system.
According to initial assignments, Mr. Vinh will be responsible for coaching the Becamex TP.HCM U15 team. This position holds strategic importance as the Southeast regional club aims to restore its former status in youth development, a foundation that previously produced many talents for Vietnamese football but has stagnated in recent years.
Although starting at the youth level, there is a solid basis for him to be groomed for a larger role in the future. In fact, Becamex TP.HCM has previously given head coaching opportunities to those developed within their internal training system, like Trần Minh Chiến and Nguyễn Quốc Tuấn. A similar career path could open up for Hứa Hiền Vinh if he makes a strong impression.
In terms of expertise, Mr. Vinh is highly regarded due to his extensive experience at various levels. He was a close assistant to Coach Hoàng Anh Tuấn during the U23 Vietnam team’s victory at the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, participation in ASIAD 19, and reaching the quarterfinals of the 2023 U23 Asian Championship. Additionally, he has coached the Vietnam U19 team in the U19 Southeast Asian Championship and the qualifiers for the 2025 U20 Asian Championship.
Before joining Becamex TP.HCM, Hứa Hiền Vinh worked at PVF and served as an assistant coach at TP.HCM Club (now Công an TP.HCM). He has completed the AFC Pro license — a mandatory qualification for coaching in the V.League — demonstrating thorough preparation in both credentials and professional skills.
In the context of Becamex TP.HCM currently having 12 points and just one point ahead of the second-to-last team PVF-CAND, adding an experienced coach who has won with the U23 Vietnam team is seen as a strategic long-term move. If he can successfully build a solid youth foundation, Hứa Hiền Vinh could become a key figure in the club’s ambitious rebuilding journey.
