February 20th (the 4th day of the Bính Ngọ Tet 2026) is considered the familiar time for many V-League teams to begin their new season.
From morning till afternoon, a lively atmosphere filled numerous training grounds as clubs gathered simultaneously to resume training and begin preparations for the season’s acceleration phase.
In the morning, Ho Chi Minh City Police Football Club officially resumed training in a warm early-year setting. Huỳnh Văn Hùng, CEO of Ho Chi Minh City Police Sports Joint Stock Company, along with Deputy Leader Lê Công Minh, personally attended to extend Tet greetings and encourage the entire team.
On behalf of the coaching staff and the whole team, coach Lê Huỳnh Đức expressed gratitude for the support from the club’s leadership and emphasized that the team must unite further, compete with the highest determination, and maximize the positive aspects achieved to strengthen the club’s development.
Also on the 4th day, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City swiftly regrouped after the Tet break. Players immediately engaged in fitness drills and regained ball control to prepare for upcoming matches.
In Hanoi, the capital’s team held their first training session of the year in an enthusiastic atmosphere. Team chairman Đỗ Vinh Quang personally offered Tet wishes and lucky red envelopes to players and coaching staff, boosting motivation for the journey ahead.
HAGL Club also officially returned to prepare for the next challenges in the V-League. Coach Lê Quang Trãi and Technical Director Vũ Tiến Thành gave lucky red envelopes to the entire team before starting the first training session of the Bính Ngọ year.
Many other clubs such as PVF-CAND, Hải Phòng FC, SLNA, and Hà Tĩnh also chose the 4th day of Tet as their reunion day, kicking off the final sprint of the 2025/26 season.
According to the schedule, the V-League will resume on February 24th with two postponed Round 10 matches between Thanh Hóa and CAHN and Thể Công Viettel facing Nam Định. Therefore, the involved teams started early preparations from the 2nd day of Tet to be fully ready for these crucial matches.
Meanwhile, Round 14 is expected to take place next weekend, promising intense competition as all clubs are prepared to accelerate immediately after the spring break.
