Malaysia's Head Coach aims to defeat Vietnam despite missing 7 naturalized stars

Coach Peter Cklamovski denies rumors of leaving Malaysia, affirming his full commitment to the match against Vietnam on March 31, and expresses confidence that the Malaysian team can overcome challenges and make a difference.

In response to speculation about possibly stepping down as Malaysia's head coach, Peter Cklamovski has publicly reaffirmed his dedication to Malaysia. When asked if he would follow the same path as his predecessor Kim Pan-gon, he replied briefly: “I am still here. Perhaps that is the clearest answer.” Although he admitted receiving offers from abroad, the Australian strategist emphasized: “I had the chance to leave, but I want to achieve something special with the national team.”

Cklamovski stated he would only consider his future if the team lacked progress and ambition. “But honestly, I am not thinking about leaving,” he confirmed. Currently, all his focus is on the decisive match against Vietnam on March 31. “We will go there to control the game and beat them. It will be a tough match, but we will approach it with strong determination.”

According to the coach, Malaysia's greatest strength lies in their collective spirit. “The 11 players on the field, whoever they are, must unite and follow the team's strategy. That is our strength.” He also affirmed that the team will fight to make fans proud with their performance on the road.

Regarding the upcoming CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) ruling on the appeal following FIFA's ban, Cklamovski said it does not affect their current plans. “I work based on today's reality and don’t focus too much on ‘what if’ scenarios. However, I still hope we can have them back soon to do something special for the country.”

Amid the “relative silence” during preparations, Cklamovski believes all questions will be answered through results. “Judge me by what I do with the national team. Right now, everything is focused on March. March means everything to us.”
