'Vietnam Women's National Team Ready to Sacrifice, Determined to Do Everything to Achieve Success'

Coach Mai Đức Chung mentioned that the Vietnam women's national team is in peak morale heading towards the 2026 Asian Cup finals.

The Vietnam women's national team regrouped starting from the second day of the Lunar New Year to get ready for the 2026 Women's Asian Cup in Australia. Speaking to the media, Coach Mai Đức Chung emphasized that the entire team is highly motivated, willing to sacrifice their Tet holiday, and determined to do everything possible to achieve the best results in the tournament.

"The Vietnam women's football team regrouped on the second day of Tet, willing to give up small personal and family matters to begin joint training in preparation for the upcoming competition.

I believe the upcoming Asian Cup will be a very challenging tournament, as VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn has mentioned. Both the coaching staff and players of the women's national team are fully aware of this.

However, with the willpower, determination, unity, and effort of Vietnamese women, our team is ready to sacrifice and is committed to doing everything to reach the desired achievements.

In 2026, the Vietnam women's football team has many competitions. As everyone knows, this March, at the beginning of the year, we have the Women's Asian Cup held in Australia.

On February 27th, the Vietnam women's football team will travel to Australia. Therefore, the team had to regroup and train from the second day of Tet to maintain their fitness.

We had already trained before Tet, but if the Tet break was too long, it would definitely affect the players' fitness, especially the female players. That is why I requested the team to regroup early, and everyone agreed. This shows the spirit, will, and highest determination of the Vietnam women's national football team."
