Yamal speaks up as Barca takes the top spot from Real Madrid

Barcelona concluded the match with a commanding 3-0 win following an overwhelming performance.

Right from the opening whistle, the home team pushed forward aggressively, applying constant pressure. In the 3rd minute, Jules Kounde had an early chance from a cross but his shot flew over the bar. After conceding, Levante tried to respond. Kareem Tunde received a yellow card in the 20th minute for a tough tackle, before Lamine Yamal and Lewandowski each missed good opportunities. Notably, Lewandowski hit the post with a header in the 27th minute. Barcelona maintained their pressure and in the 32nd minute, Frenkie de Jong sprinted into the box, received an accurate cross, and finished low into the corner to make it 2-0. Levante had a notable chance in the 37th minute with a dangerous long-range shot by Tunde, but it narrowly missed the post. The first half ended with another yellow card for Gerard Martin of Barca.

In the second half, Levante made personnel changes to improve their play, but Barcelona continued to dominate. The 66th minute saw several substitutions for Barca: Lewandowski, Bernal, and Dani Olmo came off, replaced by Ferran Torres, Pedri, and Fermín, injecting fresh energy. The impact was immediate. In the 81st minute, Fermín unleashed a thunderous strike from outside the box following an assist from Lamine Yamal, the ball hit the post and then went into the net, sealing a 3-0 victory.

In the final moments, Barcelona kept testing Levante’s defense. Fermín nearly scored again in the 90th minute but Mathew Ryan made an excellent save. The match ended at 90+4 minutes, concluding a perfect night for Barcelona with cohesive play, squad depth, and the brilliance of young talents. Levante fought hard but couldn’t withstand the relentless pressure and quality finishing of their opponents.

With this win, Barca officially claimed the top spot in La Liga from Real Madrid.
