V-League newcomer unexpectedly parts ways with Brazilian foreign player?

PVF CAND Club has removed striker Amarildo from the player list on the official VPF website.

PVF-CAND has made adjustments to their foreign player roster in preparation for the next phase of the V.League 2025/2026 season. The club has registered two new signings: midfielder Reynolds Alastair David and defender Lucas Henrique Turci, while deciding to part ways with striker Amarildo Junior. On the VPF official site, the Brazilian foreign player no longer appears on PVF CAND’s roster.

Amarildo Junior joined PVF-CAND at the start of the season with high expectations as a central striker. However, after 12 appearances in the V.League 2025/2026, the Brazilian forward has only scored 3 goals. This performance fell short of the club’s requirements, prompting the coaching staff to make personnel changes.

Amarildo Aparecido de Souza Junior, born on January 19, 1999, in Paranavai, Brazil, mainly plays as a center forward but can also drop back to support the attack when needed. Standing 1.82 meters tall with good physical strength, Amarildo was considered a notable reinforcement for PVF-CAND’s offense and was valued at around 150,000 euros by Transfermarkt.

Before moving to PVF-CAND, Amarildo previously played for Viettel Army Football Club starting August 2024. Wearing the army team’s jersey, the striker made an impact with 6 goals and 2 assists in 21 V.League matches, totaling 1,630 minutes on the field. This period is regarded as his most consistent performance phase in Vietnamese football.

Starting his professional career in 2018, Amarildo has experienced a career with many changes. To date, the 1999-born striker has switched about 15 clubs and has never stayed with a team for more than one season. This partly reflects his instability in form and adaptability to different environments.

Despite having a good physique and energetic playing style, Amarildo has yet to make a lasting impression at PVF-CAND. His departure continues the pattern of frequent moves in the Brazilian striker’s career, while PVF-CAND hopes that their new foreign signings will strengthen the team for the remainder of the season.
