The coach of the V-League newcomer is delighted to have signed Lý Đức.

Coach Nguyễn Thành Công values Lý Đức’s talent and how well he has adapted to PVF CAND.

“Hiểu Minh’s injury created a significant gap in the defense, so I had to find a replacement. Lý Đức is the right choice,” Coach Nguyễn Thành Công shared about the decision to recruit Phạm Lý Đức.The PVF-CAND coach regards the defender born in 2003 as having great development potential and believes that with time to adapt and tactical adjustments, the young player will bring more stability to the team’s defense in the upcoming period.

On the afternoon of February 25, Phạm Lý Đức attended his first training session with PVF-CAND after moving on loan from CAHN. The young defender quickly adapted to the new team’s rhythm and is likely to be given a chance to debut in the away match at Chi Lăng Stadium against SHB Đà Nẵng in round 14 of the V.League.

Regarding his decision to leave CAHN, Lý Đức frankly stated that he needs more playing time to advance his career. “I want to have more time and opportunities on the field. Only by playing regularly can I show my abilities, gain experience, and grow,” the 2003-born player expressed.

According to Lý Đức, being allowed by CAHN to join PVF-CAND is a crucial chance to gain experience in a top-level environment. As the V.League relegation battle enters a tense phase, every match carries decisive significance and serves as a necessary challenge for a young player still developing himself.

About his adaptation process, the defender said he has received strong support from the coaching staff and new teammates. “The teammates are very friendly, cheerful, and have helped me a lot. I feel I have integrated quite quickly,” Lý Đức said. Notably, at PVF-CAND, the 21-year-old player reunites with two former U23 Vietnam teammates, Nguyễn Xuân Bắc and Võ Anh Quân, which facilitates coordination and connection on the field.

In reality, Lý Đức’s playing style still needs more consistency compared to experienced seniors and sometimes does not inspire complete confidence. However, with the personnel additions in the second half of the season, PVF-CAND’s coaching staff hopes the team will improve results, accumulate important points, and achieve the goal of V.League survival as planned from the start of the season.
