Juventus shares points with Roma after a six-goal thriller

In the 27th round of Serie A, AS Roma and Juventus engaged in a thrilling back-and-forth encounter featuring six goals, capped by Federico Gatti's last-gasp strike, earning "The Old Lady" a crucial point in the UEFA Champions League qualification battle.

Following their midweek European elimination by Galatasaray, Juventus appeared affected both physically and mentally. Capitalizing on this, Roma started more proactively. Niccolò Pisilli forced a save from Mattia Perin with a burst of speed, before Lorenzo Pellegrini's follow-up shot rattled the crossbar.

End-to-end action ensued continuously. Donyell Malen nearly opened the scoring with a close-range effort saved by Perin, while Weston McKennie and Bryan Cristante both headed wide. The turning point came in the 39th minute: Pisilli crossed for Wesley, who unleashed a precise right-footed curler from outside the box, putting Roma ahead 1-0.

Juventus responded just two minutes after halftime. From a set-piece, Bremer acted as a decoy, allowing Francisco Conceicao to volley home a powerful left-footed strike, leveling the score at 1-1 with a spectacular effort.

However, the advantage quickly swung back to Roma. In the 54th minute, Pellegrini combined with Pisilli from a corner before delivering a perfect cross for Evan Ndicka to finish from close range, making it 2-1. Soon after, Malen broke free onto Manu Kone's clever through ball and executed a skillful lob over Perin, extending the home side's lead to 3-1.

Just as Roma seemed to have secured victory, Juventus suddenly sparked to life. Jeremie Boga scored his first goal for the Turin side with a long-range drive, after Zeki Celik inadvertently deflected Edon Zhegrova's cross.

The dramatic climax arrived in stoppage time. From a deep free-kick into the box, Gatti rose highest to head home decisively, sealing a 3-3 draw amid jubilant celebrations from the away fans.

This result leaves Roma four points ahead of Juventus and three points above fifth-placed Como. Meanwhile, Juventus extends their winless streak in Serie A to four matches (two draws, two losses), yet retains hope of competing for a Champions League place next season.
