Doan Ngoc Tan hopes FIFA will soon lift the transfer ban so Thanh Hoa can register new players.

Captain Doan Ngoc Tan expressed his hope that Dong A Thanh Hoa Club will soon fulfill its financial obligations so that FIFA can remove the "ban on registering new players" ahead of round 15 of V.League 2025-2026. On the evening of March 1 at Lach Tray Stadium, Thanh Hoa experienced a thrilling comeback against Hai Phong and secured a valuable point after an emotional 3-3 draw.

Under immense pressure from the Lach Tray Stadium stands, the visiting team trailed 1-3 and faced the risk of leaving empty-handed. However, a never-give-up spirit helped Coach Mai Xuan Hop's players stage a strong comeback in the final minutes, scoring two consecutive goals, thereby concluding round 14 with a result rich in morale.

After the match, Doan Ngoc Tan shared: "Recent matches have been very difficult for Thanh Hoa Club. FIFA hasn't lifted the ban yet, but the team has not given up together." The midfielder revealed he had a fever, preventing him from playing in recent rounds, but he has always stood by his teammates. "In the loss to Cong An Ha Noi, the team played very well," he added.

Recalling the moment they trailed Hai Phong 3-1, the Thanh Hoa captain said the whole team reminded each other to fight until the end. "The players told each other, 'We cannot give up, even if it means death, we cannot give up,' so scoring two goals to equalize was fantastic," Doan Ngoc Tan said emotionally. He also expressed hope that the club's leadership would soon complete the payment of fines so FIFA can lift the sanction, allowing the team to register additional personnel.

In this match, Thanh Hoa only registered 18 players, including 3 goalkeepers, due to the impact of the ban. Rimario marked an impressive return by scoring one goal and providing one assist. Meanwhile, Odilzhon Abdurakhmanov was absent due to accumulating 3 yellow cards, and goalkeeper Trinh Xuan Hoang was considered as a forward option but ultimately wasn't needed.
