HLV Thanh Hóa reveals plan while awaiting FIFA's lifting of the ban

Coach Mai Xuân Hợp revealed that Thanh Hóa is awaiting FIFA's decision to lift the ban to reinforce the team following the 3-3 tie with Hải Phòng.

After the match, Coach Mai Xuân Hợp not only spoke about the team's courageous spirit but also hinted at an important plan related to the FIFA penalty.

Speaking at the press conference, he stated that the club is expecting an official decision by early next week to be able to bolster the squad for the crucial phase of the season. “I hope the FIFA ban will be lifted by early next week so the team can have more personnel options. Then, we will have additional tactical solutions.”, he said. If the ban is removed, Thanh Hóa will gain more options for rotation and deepen the squad.

Besides the squad plan, Coach Mai Xuân Hợp particularly emphasized the factor of morale – the pillar that helped the team overcome a difficult period. “I am very pleased; the winning spirit of the players never wavers. Even when trailing, they fought brilliantly. Thank you to the players for fighting for the colors of Thanh Hóa.”, he shared. He also praised Nguyễn Văn Tùng: “Before going to Hải Phòng, the coaching staff encouraged Văn Tùng, Damoth, and Ngọc Mỹ to enter the field and make a mark.
