Vietnam Women's National Team Rewarded 500 Million

Right after the 2-1 victory of the Vietnam Women's National Team against India in the opening match of the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the VFF Executive Committee and Standing Committee, sent congratulations and commended the entire team.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the resilient fighting spirit, composure, and efforts of Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players, who did not falter after conceding the equalizer, thereby securing all 3 crucial points in the opening match.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan encouraged the Vietnam Women's National Team to maintain focus, quickly recover physically, and prepare optimally for the next match, aiming for the highest goal in the tournament.

To promptly recognize and encourage the team's spirit, VFF leadership decided to reward the Vietnam Women's National Team 500 million VND after their opening match victory.

Vietnam U23 Goalkeeper Transfers to SHB Da Nang

Former Vietnam U23 national team goalkeeper Nguyen Van Toan has transferred to play for SHB Da Nang Club in the second leg of the 2025/26 LPBank V-League on a loan basis.

Van Toan has not played any match in the V-League this season. He could not compete with his senior national teammate Nguyen Dinh Trieu for the goalkeeper position at Hai Phong Club.

SHB Da Nang Club is currently at the bottom of the 2025/26 V-League table. The Han River-based team currently has three goalkeepers: Van Bieu, Dang Tuan Hung, and Huynh Tran Quoc Bao. Goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung has been replaced by Van Toan.

Bui Tien Dung suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear and a meniscus tear in his right knee in October 2025 during the 7th round. He underwent surgery and is expected to need about 8-12 months for recovery.

6 SLNA Players Join Vietnam U19 National Team Camp

According to the VFF's official dispatch to Song Lam Nghe An Club, this training camp takes place from March 16-29 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi).

This activity is part of the preparation plan for the Vietnam U19 National Team in 2026, while also continuing to scout and evaluate promising young talents for Vietnamese football.

Song Lam Nghe An has 6 players participating: Hoang Minh Hoi, Nguyen Tan Minh, Tran Dong Thuc, Bach Trong Duong, Vuong Quoc Dung, and Tran Quoc Hoa. Additionally, Coach Nguyen Hong Viet – Head Coach of SLNA U19 – has also been called up to join the Vietnam U19 National Team coaching staff for this training camp.

Besides SLNA, clubs like PVF, Viettel, and Hanoi also have many players in the Vietnam U19 squad.

Coach Vu Tien Thanh Officially Works at Ninh Binh Club

On the afternoon of March 4, Ninh Binh FC players had their first training session under the guidance of Coach Vu Tien Thanh, who will accompany the team in the next phase of the season.

Before the training session, the leadership of Ninh Binh FC came to the field to present flowers and wish Coach Vu Tien Thanh good health, enthusiasm, and new successes in his role as the club's interim head coach.

With experience, professional determination, and a high sense of responsibility, Ninh Binh FC believes that Coach Vu Tien Thanh, together with the coaching staff and players, will create positive changes, reinforce confidence, and the desire to win, so that each match carries the distinct mark of the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital team.

Coach Vu Tien Thanh shared: "After 3 losses, the team has many issues to improve. My task is to help them regain the image of a strong collective like in the early season phase."
