Spanish coach Gerard Albadalejo wrote a heartfelt letter on his personal Facebook page to bid farewell after officially leaving Ninh Bình FC. This strategist expressed gratitude to Vietnamese football and those who accompanied him during his time working with the Ancient Capital's team.

In his message, Gerard Albadalejo conveyed his appreciation for the eight months spent in Vietnam. The Spanish coach stated this was a memorable period in his career and affirmed he would always hold special affection for the fans and the country of Vietnam.

“It is time to bid farewell to Vietnam. The past eight months have truly been wonderful. Thank you to all who helped us. We will always keep the Vietnamese people and Ninh Bình fans in our hearts. See you soon!” he wrote on his personal page.

Previously, on the evening of March 2, the leadership of Ninh Bình FC decided to terminate the contracts with Coach Gerard Albadalejo and assistant Josep Maria Roma. This decision was made after the team suffered three consecutive defeats in the V-League, causing them to lose their advantage in the championship race.

In the early stage of the season, Ninh Bình FC performed impressively under the guidance of the Spanish strategist. The team had an 11-match unbeaten streak and rose to the top of the standings, becoming one of the interesting phenomena of the tournament.

However, consecutive defeats against CAHN, HAGL, and Nam Định quickly changed the situation. Ninh Bình dropped to third place, trailing the leading team by 8 points despite still having one match pending.
