Notably, what surprises fans most is the absence of young forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc - the figure receiving the greatest attention at this moment.

However, the absence of the 2004-born striker this time stems from both disciplinary factors and recent professional performance.

According to regulations of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Đình Bắc is currently serving a two-match suspension after receiving a direct red card in the 2026 AFC U23 Championship third-place match. Since he will no longer be eligible for the next AFC U23 Championship, the penalty is transferred to apply at the national team level if this player is called up.

This means he will not be able to participate in upcoming Vietnam national team matches, notably the match against Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. Therefore, Coach Kim Sang Sik decided not to include this young forward in the March training list.
