HAGL, Hanoi FC receive penalties ahead of Round 16 of V-League

The disciplinary committee of the Vietnam Football Federation has issued penalties to three clubs ahead of Round 16 of the 2025/26 V-League.

The disciplinary committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has recently issued decisions regarding violations in Round 14 and Round 15 of the 2025/26 V-League.

According to Decision No. 174/QĐ-LĐBĐVN, Hoàng Anh Gia Lai was fined 2 million VND because five players received yellow cards from the referee in the match against Công an Hanoi in Round 14. This match took place on February 28 at Hàng Đẫy Stadium.

In Round 15, Đông Á Thanh Hóa also had to pay a fine of 3 million VND according to Decision No. 201/QĐ-LĐBĐVN after six players received yellow cards in the home match against Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh on March 6.

Meanwhile, according to Decision No. 200/QĐ-LĐBĐVN, Hanoi FC was fined 2 million VND because five players received yellow cards in the capital derby against Công an Hanoi at Hàng Đẫy Stadium on March 8.

These penalties are applied according to VFF's disciplinary regulations to enhance professionalism and control the behavior of players and coaching staff during national championship matches.

Previously, the organizing committee also announced the list of 9 players suspended for Round 16 including: Đỗ Phi Long (Đà Nẵng), Trần Thanh Sơn (HAGL), Huỳnh Minh Đoàn, Lê Văn Thắng (Thanh Hóa), Hoàng Văn Khánh (SLNA), Geovane Magno (Ninh Bình), Nguyễn Thanh Nhàn (PVF-CAND), Triệu Việt Hưng (Hải Phòng FC), and Daniel Passira (Hanoi FC).
