Trần Gia Bảo of HAGL will be included in the second supplementary list for the Vietnam U19 team after not being named in the initial call-up.

Vietnam U19 squad list for March training camp The recently announced list caused a major surprise by omitting the name of the "prodigy" Trần Gia Bảo. The forward born in 2008 is considered the most outstanding figure of this age group, having even played two seasons in the V-League despite his very young age. This is something none of the players in this current call-up list have achieved.

In this season, Gia Bảo has made 13 appearances in the V-League after 16 rounds. Although mainly brought onto the field in the final minutes of matches, it remains valuable time for a 16-year-old player to accumulate top-level competitive experience. Notably, in round 16, Gia Bảo himself scored a goal, contributing to HAGL's 3-3 draw against Đà Nẵng.

However, according to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), after about a week of training, the Vietnam U19 coaching staff will proceed to filter the squad. It is expected that 10 to 15 players will be trimmed from the list, while the team will additionally call up around 10 other players not included in the initial training camp.

A member of the Vietnam U19 coaching staff revealed that Gia Bảo is definitely part of the team's plan and will join the squad in the second week of training. Alongside Gia Bảo, many other familiar faces such as Quốc Khánh, Việt Anh, Duy Khang, Văn Bách, Quang Anh, Văn Khánh, and Hồng Phong will also participate in this phase. These are all players who have previously worn the youth national team jersey and demonstrated their capability in earlier training camps. According to the plan, this group of players will join later, between March 23rd and 29th.

During the first week of training, the coaching staff primarily gave opportunities to new elements to evaluate and review the squad before finalizing the official list for the Vietnam U19 team.
