Tottenham places 8 managers on the list to replace Tudor ahead of their away trip to Liverpool

Acting manager Igor Tudor is facing mounting pressure before Tottenham Hotspur's challenging away match at Anfield against Liverpool, amid reports that Spurs' board has begun probing potential successors.

Tudor was appointed on a short-term contract lasting until the end of the season, but the Croatian strategist's tenure so far has turned into a nightmare for the London club. Tottenham has lost all four matches since Tudor took charge, pushing the team into an extremely precarious position near the bottom of the Premier League table.

After a series of disappointing results, Spurs now sit just one point above the relegation zone. Pressure intensified as West Ham United continued to chase them after drawing with Manchester City, making the battle for survival more tense than ever.

Earlier, rumors emerged that Tudor could be dismissed following Tottenham's disastrous performance in the UEFA Champions League, where they lost to Atletico Madrid. However, the 47-year-old strategist will still lead the team in their away trip to Anfield on Sunday.

Nevertheless, his future at Tottenham remains very uncertain. According to talkSPORT, Spurs' leadership is currently considering eight different replacement options. These choices could be short-term contracts until the end of the season to help the club avoid relegation, or longer-term plans aimed at the next season.

One of the names mentioned is Sean Dyche, former manager of Everton. However, appointing Dyche could face obstacles after he was dismissed by Nottingham Forest earlier in the season.

Additionally, the possibility of reuniting with former manager Mauricio Pochettino has also been discussed. The Argentine coach is reportedly willing to return to North London, but he is currently focused on preparing with the United States men's national soccer team for the FIFA World Cup this summer.

Meanwhile, two former Tottenham players, Ryan Mason and Robbie Keane, could also become temporary options. However, Keane is currently managing Ferencvaros and is said to be interested only in a long-term contract. Another long-term target for Spurs is former Brighton & Hove Albion manager, Roberto De Zerbi.

Despite the growing pressure, Tudor insists he is the right person to resolve Tottenham's current crisis and believes that changing the manager may not necessarily yield results.

"Whenever people want a new manager, they hope for a fresh start. Everyone believes things will change, but reality is completely different," Tudor shared with Sky Sports.

"In a world where everyone has their own opinion, you can never please everyone. As a manager, the only thing we can do is focus on what we can change. We must stay calm and believe in ourselves."

Still, Tudor acknowledged that the current situation is more difficult than he imagined: "I don't feel comfortable when the team isn't getting good results. The problems are much bigger than what I imagined. But that's the reality and we have to accept it. We need to see this as a challenge, not something to complain about."
