Vietnam's Expected Squad: Hoang Hen alongside Xuan Son

Vietnam will play a friendly match against Bangladesh on March 26 before facing Malaysia in the final Asian Cup 2027 qualifying match (March 31). Coach Kim Sang Sik now has a quality squad capable of winning the upcoming two matches.

For Vietnam's goalkeeper, Coach Kim Sang Sik is likely to deploy goalkeeper Dang Van Lam. Vietnam's defenders will be Doan Van Hau, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, and Duy Manh. Vietnam's wingbacks will be Xuan Manh and Cao Pendent Quang Vinh.

Hoang Hen's inclusion strengthens the attacking power, especially as naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son has not yet reached good form. Before the match, AFC awarded Malaysia a default loss in two matches against Nepal and Vietnam in the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers last year. With this decision, Vietnam has already secured a spot in the Asian Cup 2027.
