After 16 rounds of V-League 2025/26, Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) is demonstrating the image of a true champion. With 38 points, far ahead of the rest of the standings and having played one fewer match, the team under coach Alexandre Polking not only holds a significant advantage in the championship race but is also gradually forming a notable core framework for the national team under coach Kim Sang Sik.
Looking at CAHN's journey this season, one can easily recognize impressive stability. After 15 matches played, the team under coach Mano Polking has lost only one match, a figure that speaks volumes about the caliber of this collective. In a competitive league like V-League, where the gap between teams is often not too large, maintaining such consistent performance is no simple task.
CAHN's strength stems from multiple factors, but the most crucial remains the quality and experience of its squad. In the preliminary list for the upcoming Vietnam national team gathering under coach Kim Sang Sik, CAHN is the club contributing the most players with eight names. Most of them are likely starters, forming the core framework for the national team, with only one player, Van Do, not making the final list for the FIFA Days in March 2026 just announced.
In the goalkeeper position is Nguyen Filip, as the Vietnamese-origin keeper has conceded the least goals in this V-League season. The Vietnam national team's defense also bears a strong CAHN imprint with names like Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Tran Dinh Trong, and notably Doan Van Hau, a player who can effectively play as a left-sided center-back or left-back.

Additionally, Cao Pendant Quang Vinh provides a quality option for the left flank thanks to his speed and good attacking support ability. In the midfield, the duo Quang Hai and Thanh Long are the "heart" of CAHN's playstyle. While Quang Hai brings creativity and breakthroughs, Thanh Long assumes the role of a "sweeper," recovering balls and maintaining match tempo. Quang Hai can also play as a left forward.
The combination of these names gives CAHN a balanced lineup blending experience, technique, and youthful energy. For coach Kim Sang Sik, having many national team pillars playing for the same club is also a major advantage. When players are accustomed to each other's movement, coordination, and mutual support, the process of building the national team's playstyle becomes much easier.
In the context of the Vietnam national team preparing for crucial matches in March (including friendly matches against Bangladesh and Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers), possessing a stable core framework is extremely important.
If CAHN continues to maintain its current form, it is highly likely that this club will not only lift the V-League Cup but also become the foundation for a new generation of the Vietnam national team under Kim Sang Sik.
