The Spanish strategist appeared in trousers and leather shoes but paired them with a loose checkered jacket in a rather casual style, completely opposite to his usual elegant demeanor.

Returning to the match, Manchester City's hopes for a comeback were quickly extinguished in the 20th minute when Bernardo Silva was sent off for handball on the goal line. Vinícius Júnior did not miss the opportunity from the penalty spot, increasing Real's aggregate lead.

Erling Haaland later scored to narrow the gap before halftime, but that was insufficient.
