According to the latest information, the Bangladesh national team will arrive in Hanoi on the morning of March 21, five days earlier than the FIFA Days international friendly match against Vietnam at Hang Day Stadium.

This proactive early arrival demonstrates the visiting team's serious preparation and high determination, aiming to best adapt to the weather conditions, pitch, and playing environment in Vietnam.

The Bangladesh national team regrouped on March 16 to begin their preparation process. Although head coach Javier Penato has not yet announced the official list for Vietnam, the preliminary roster reveals several notable players. Among them, there are seven Bangladeshi-origin players who developed in football systems like England, Finland, USA, Canada, and Denmark, promising to bring a competitive edge to "The Bengal Tigers".

The most prominent among them is midfielder Hamza Choudhury, a player who competed in the English Premier League with Leicester City. Joining Leicester's academy at age 7, Choudhury progressed through youth levels and represented England U21 seven times.

In his club career, he helped Leicester City win the FA Cup in the 2020/2021 season, the English Super Cup in 2021, and clinched the English Championship title in the 2023/24 season. Choudhury's presence is expected to significantly elevate Bangladesh's squad quality.

The match against Bangladesh is considered a crucial preparatory step before coach Kim Sang Sik and his team host Malaysia at Thiên Trường Stadium (Ninh Bình) on March 31 in the final Asian Cup 2027 qualifying round.
