Real Madrid accused of mistakenly examining... Mbappe's leg

The French superstar is reportedly misdiagnosed at Real Madrid because of an incredible mistake: erroneously checking... the uninjured leg.

According to multiple sources from France, Mbappé's issue began from the 0-2 loss against Celta Vigo on December 7th in La Liga. After the match, the 27-year-old forward felt pain in his left knee and underwent examination by Real Madrid's medical team. However, the initial results allowed him to continue playing, despite the pain not subsiding.

During the period afterward, Mbappé still played three more matches before the winter break, making the situation potentially riskier. Only when the club conducted a re-examination did they discover the serious mistake: the previous scan was performed on... the healthy leg instead of the injured one.

The accurate diagnosis later revealed that Mbappé suffered a partial tear of the ligament behind the knee, an injury that could become extremely serious if he continued playing without proper treatment. According to journalist Daniel Riolo of RMC, precisely because of doubts about the initial results, Mbappé had to fly back to Paris for a re-examination, thereby clarifying the entire issue.

"It was a major mistake. He played football without knowing exactly what his condition was. This could absolutely lead to very serious consequences," Riolo emphasized. This source also reported that the incident led to several members of Real Madrid's medical staff being dismissed.

Not stopping there, the wave of criticism erupted even more strongly when the club's former nutrition specialist, Itziar Gonzalez, publicly denounced the unprofessional operations at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. On social media, Gonzalez claimed that the Spanish royal club even used the free version of ChatGPT to provide recommendations on nutritional supplements for players.

"I don't know what's worse: what happened, or them prescribing supplements based on results from the free ChatGPT," Gonzalez wrote with frustration. She also expressed hope that Mbappé would work with competent professionals, instead of "those who lack knowledge but have connections."

Although this information is causing intense controversy, Mbappé himself remains quite calm. At an event in France, he confirmed that his knee is recovering positively and denied many exaggerated rumors: "Everything is progressing well. There are many speculations and also inaccurate information."
