The villa that served as Jurgen Klopp's home while working at Liverpool remains on the market, even though the price has been lowered.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to return to Anfield this weekend to lead Liverpool in a match featuring former stars against his old club, Borussia Dortmund.
However, the former home of the German strategist in Formby remains exactly as it was when he left. This luxurious villa features six bedrooms and is located in the Freshfield area. Initially listed for £4.25 million, the price has now been reduced to £4 million, yet it remains unsold.
The house is situated on a street known as “Millionaire’s Row” and has been associated with Liverpool for over two decades, having been home to many former players and managers. Former manager Brendan Rodgers lived here, and legendary midfielder Steven Gerrard moved in in 2005. However, current manager Arne Slot declined to stay, forcing The Kop to put the house up for sale.
This extensive property includes seven bathrooms, a swimming pool area with a bathroom and sauna, and four living rooms. Additionally, there is a separate entertainment building with a spa and gym on the first floor.
Klopp left Liverpool in May 2024 after announcing his departure five months earlier. During his tenure from October 2015, he secured nine major titles, including the Premier League and Champions League.
His successor, Arne Slot, had an impressive debut season with the club's 20th national league championship. However, the current season has been challenging, with Slot under significant pressure as Liverpool performs inconsistently and competes for a top 4 position.
Since January 2025, Klopp holds the role of Global Football Director at Red Bull, yet remains linked with major clubs like Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid. He also does not rule out returning to Liverpool, affirming he would not manage any other club in England besides The Reds. When asked about the possibility of returning to Anfield, Klopp stated: “I said I wouldn't coach another club in England, so if I return, it could only be Liverpool. Theoretically, it is possible.”
If Liverpool decides to part ways with Slot this summer, Klopp would certainly be considered for a return. Reintegrating into life in Merseyside would not be too difficult, as his former home remains available.
