After Vietnam's 3-0 victory over Bangladesh in the friendly match on March 26, striker Đỗ Hoàng Hên shared notable insights about his debut performance for the national team.
In the post-match interview, Hoàng Hên stated that he wasn't overly concerned about not scoring despite being denied a beautiful goal by the goalpost. He told reporters in Vietnamese: "It's okay, I don't regret it. I will score in the next match. Today I didn't perform at 100%, but I am happy and proud because Vietnam won. That is the most important thing."

Even though he didn't score, Hoàng Hên left a strong impression in his debut match. From the first half, this striker played energetically and actively participated in attacking situations. In the 16th minute, his dangerous long-range shot forced the Bangladesh goalkeeper to make a difficult save. By the 24th minute, Hoàng Hên had a favorable opportunity inside the penalty area from Tiến Anh's cross, but his finishing shot lacked accuracy.
Not only limited to shooting ability, Hoàng Hên also contributed to the overall gameplay by providing an assist for Hai Long in the 32nd minute. In the second half, with Vietnam already leading 3-0, this striker maintained his energetic play. The most regrettable moment was in the 88th minute, when his long-range shot hit the goalpost, missing the chance to score on his debut day.
