At 22 years old, Nguyễn Đình Bắc is not only a pride of Hanoi Police Club and the national football team, but also a living testament to the power of will and effort. His collection of individual and team titles has amazed experts and fans.
On March 25th evening, the Central Youth Union solemnly honored 10 outstanding young Vietnamese faces of 2025, individuals under 35 with remarkable achievements in various fields from study, scientific research, labor production, business, entrepreneurship, national defense, security order, sports, social activities to culture and arts.
Among them, the most prominent name in the sports field is the 22-year-old forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc, currently playing for Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) and a member of the Vietnamese national football team.

Two days later, at the "Glory of Vietnamese Sports 2026" Gala event within the series commemorating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – March 27, 2026) and the day Uncle Ho wrote the article "Exercise and Health" calling for people to exercise, Đình Bắc was among the athletes and coaches honored and awarded commendation certificates.

Just a few months earlier, at the Victory Cup Awards 2025 Gala held on January 29th evening at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), Đình Bắc was honored in the "Young Athlete of the Year" category. This event honors outstanding coaches, athletes, and teams of Vietnamese sports, and Đình Bắc was a figure receiving special attention from both media and fans.

In 2025, the 2004-born player along with his national teams and club achieved a remarkable series of team titles: ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, SEA Games 33 Gold Medal, AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026 Silver Medal, alongside impressive domestic achievements such as winning the National Super Cup 2025, the National Cup 2024/25, and runner-up in the Shopee Cup 2024/25. These achievements not only solidified his position on the field but also laid the groundwork for subsequent individual awards.
On the individual front, Đình Bắc continued to impress with a series of prestigious titles: Vietnam Silver Ball 2025, Best Young Male Player of the Year, AFC U23 Asian Cup Top Scorer, Best Player of ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, and notably the "Young Athlete of the Year" award at the Victory Cup Awards. These awards clearly reflect Đình Bắc's significant growth both in skill and competitive spirit, making him one of the most notable young players in Vietnamese football today.

Few know that Nguyễn Đình Bắc's journey to glory was not smooth. Born in Nghe An, he was trained at SLNA's academy but was dismissed at age 15 due to insufficient physique. This was a major setback for any young player, but Đình Bắc did not give up. He moved to Quang Nam Club, which later disbanded, and gradually proved himself.
From 2023, he was promoted to the first team, becoming the Top Scorer and Best Player of the First Division, playing a key role in helping Quang Nam secure promotion to V-League. His current club is Hanoi Police Club (CAHN), where he continues to develop his skills and shine on the field.
Not only shining at club level, Đình Bắc soon made his mark at the national team level. He scored the decisive goal in the 2-0 win against Philippines in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and delivered a notable performance in the opening match against Japan at the 2023 Asian Cup. At SEA Games 33 and the AFC U23 Asian Cup finals, Đình Bắc continued to be a standout figure in the attack, contributing to Vietnam's impressive team achievements.

On March 20, 2026, Sports & Culture Newspaper (TTXVN) announced the official nominations for the 20th Contribution Awards - 2026 across both award systems: the Music Contribution Awards and the Sports Contribution Awards. Concurrently, the Organizing Committee (OC) also opened the Final Public Voting Round for the public, to work alongside the votes from journalists and the Selection Council in determining the ultimate winners.
