The Vietnam women's U20 team has landed in Bangkok (Thailand), poised to take on the test at the 2026 AFC Women's U20 Asian Cup finals.
Before departing for Thailand, the Vietnam women's U20 team played two friendly matches against Uzbekistan's U20 team in Ho Chi Minh City, winning 4-0 and drawing 1-1.
According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team departed from Tan Son Nhat Airport and landed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok) at 10:30 (local time). After completing immigration procedures, the entire team quickly moved to the Jubilee Prestige Ratchadaphisek hotel to check in, settle into their accommodation, and prepare for professional activities.

Before traveling to Thailand, the coaching staff of the Vietnam women's U20 team finalized personnel matters by confirming the list of 23 registered players for the tournament.
At the 2026 AFC Women's U20 Asian Cup finals, the Vietnam women's U20 team is in a group featuring China's women's U20, Thailand's women's U20, and Bangladesh's women's U20. According to the schedule, the Vietnam women's U20 team will begin their campaign against China's women's U20 at 16:00 on April 1 at Nonthaburi Stadium.
The 2026 AFC Women's U20 Asian Cup finals take place in Thailand from April 1 to 18, 2026, with 12 participating teams divided into 3 groups, playing a single round-robin format. After the group stage, the 3 group winners, 3 group runners-up, and the 2 best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals under a knockout format. Notably, the top 4 teams at the tournament will become Asia's representatives at the 2026 FIFA Women's U20 World Cup.
Immediately after settling into their accommodation, the Vietnam women's U20 team will begin training sessions to finalize their preparations, aiming to compete diligently and achieve good results at the continental arena.
