Madam Pang makes a big move, decides on a 'massive' reward for the Thai national team

The Thai national team is entering a crucial match in the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers against Turkmenistan, and before the kickoff, coach Anthony Hudson and his players have received significant morale support from the leadership of the Thai Football Association.

According to the Thairath newspaper, the President of the Thai Football Association, Mrs. Nualphan Lamsam (Madam Pang), announced that she will offer a substantial reward if the "War Elephants" secure a victory at home. Accordingly, the Thai national team will receive 3 million baht (approximately 2.4 billion Vietnamese dong) if they defeat Turkmenistan. Notably, the reward amount will increase to 5 million baht (approximately 4 billion Vietnamese dong) if the home team wins by a margin of three goals or more.

This is considered a major morale boost for the Thai national team in a situation where they have no other option. Following previous results, the Golden Temple's football team must secure a victory against Turkmenistan to earn a spot in the Asian Cup 2027 finals, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking before the match, Madam Pang acknowledged the pressure weighing on the Thai national team, but she still placed faith in the collective spirit of the entire squad. She stated that she witnessed unity, smiles, and a positive attitude in the most recent training session, thereby believing the team can overcome the pressure to achieve their goal.

Additionally, she emphasized that wearing the national team jersey is a great honor for every player. According to Madam Pang, all 23 players are ready to fight wholeheartedly, while the coaching staff has also worked very hard recently. Therefore, the reward offered serves as a morale boost to help the entire team gain additional motivation.

According to the schedule, the Thai national team will host Turkmenistan at Rajamangala Stadium at 7:30 PM on March 31. This is considered the "final" match of the group stage, where the "War Elephants" must secure all three points if they do not want to miss the Asian Cup 2027. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese national team will host Malaysia at Thiên Trường Stadium at 7:00 PM on the same day.
