Hoàng Hên receives a 'big reward' from his wife after Vietnam's victory over Malaysia

Following the 3-1 victory over Malaysia, midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên was given a unique present by his wife Lais Machado.

On March 31st at Thiên Trường Stadium, naturalized midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên delivered an impressive performance for the Vietnam national team against Malaysia. Although he did not score directly, Hoàng Hên left a strong impact with his attacking contributions. Notably, he assisted Xuân Son to increase the score to 2-0 early in the second half. Ultimately, the home team secured a 3-1 victory.

After the joy of victory with the "Golden Star Warriors," Hoàng Hên continued to receive a meaningful gift upon returning home. Accordingly, Lais Machado—Hoàng Hên's wife—prepared a home celebration to welcome him back after 10 days of training and competition.

On her personal page, Hoàng Hên's wife shared: "After 10 days away, I missed you every single day. But at the same time, I understood that you were experiencing something beyond words… a dream come true. I prepared this surprise to congratulate you for conquering your dream, for contributing in the Vietnam national team jersey, and above all, for returning to our home."

Sharing emotionally after the match, the Hanoi FC midfielder stated: "Although Vietnam has officially secured a spot in the finals, Hên emphasizes that the match against Malaysia was still very significant. The whole team demonstrated superiority in both tactical positioning and ball control. Vietnam played proactively, cohesively, and created more clear opportunities than the opponent."

After returning from the national team, Hoàng Hên will rejoin Hanoi FC to prepare for their away match at Hai Phong's stadium in Round 17 of the V-League, scheduled at 18:00 on April 4th.
