Coach Polking reveals surprising details about Quang Hai's injury

Midfielder Quang Hai sustained an injury and was stretchered off following a clash with Que Ngoc Hai during Hanoi Police Club's victory over SHB Da Nang at Hang Day Stadium on April 4.

At the post-match press conference, Hanoi Police Club coach Alexandre Polking shared: "He had a slight ankle sprain after the collision. Fortunately, we have an 8-day break coming up.

Quang Hai will receive full treatment and rest to recover. We need to maintain focus, tackling each match one by one to keep our distance from the chasing teams."

Quang Hai is the captain of Hanoi Police Club and plays a crucial role in the team's current top-of-the-table performance with 3 goals and 7 assists. He is also an irreplaceable player for the Vietnam national team, as stated by coach Kim Sang Sik.

Regarding the 5-1 victory over SHB Da Nang, Coach Polking said: "I am happy with this win. Despite the big margin, I still think Da Nang is a good team; I don't believe they will be relegated because they have moments of very good play.

I think we could have played more aggressively in the first half. Even with a 3-0 lead, we still allowed them opportunities. However, I am more happy than disappointed, especially with Dinh Bac. His professional training efforts were rewarded with two goals today."

Hanoi Police Club has extended their consecutive winning streak to 11 matches, continuing their strong march towards the finish line in the LPBank V-League 2025/26 with 44 points, leaving second-placed The Cong Viettel 10 points behind, boasting the strongest attack (40 goals) and the most solid defense (only conceded 14 times).

The convincing form and style of play of Hanoi Police Club are making them the most deserving candidate for the V-League championship this season.

Meanwhile, SHB Da Nang coach Le Duc Tuan admitted fault: "We knew playing away against Hanoi Police Club would be very difficult. The plan was to try to hold firm in the first half, focusing on defensive support to form a solid block. But individual errors and psychological factors prevented the players from executing what was prepared. We conceded goals too early, which is regrettable.

We are a collective; this result is a shared outcome. When we lose, we must accept it, and this is the fault of the entire team. We must reflect on ourselves to strive for the upcoming journey.

First, we must restore the players' morale. The upcoming match against SLNA is extremely important, a direct competitor for us. As the head coach, I am very confident and will convey everything I have to my players."
