Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) has recently officially bid farewell to assistant coach Luis Viegas after a period of accompanying the team.
On its official homepage, the police force club expressed gratitude to Mr. Luis Viegas for his contributions throughout the recent journey. CAHN emphasized that this assistant coach experienced many memorable milestones with the team, helping to create beautiful memories and important professional imprints. This decision was announced immediately after the police force club's decisive 5-1 victory over SHB Da Nang on the evening of April 4.
Assistant Luis Viegas is known as a long-time close collaborator of coach Alexandre Mano Polking. The two have worked together since 2014 and have stood side by side at various clubs such as Bangkok United, TP.HCM, and the Thai national team before continuing their collaboration at CAHN.
Within the coaching staff, Mr. Viegas primarily undertook the role of providing professional support, contributing to training work and tactical preparation for the team. However, this coach also became involved in controversy when he was penalized by the VFF in August 2025 for insulting a referee. Nevertheless, his working period at CAHN still left certain impressions.
Regarding Club CAHN, the team is currently flourishing at the top of the table V-League with 44 points after 17 matches, creating a 10-point gap with the second-placed team The Cong Viettel but having played one more match. If they continue to maintain their form in the upcoming rounds, it is highly likely that CAHN will soon become the champion of this year's season.
