On April 11, the Vietnam women's U17 national team played their final friendly match during their training camp in Japan, facing a team from Aichi Toho University. The match ended with a 2-2 draw.
The match was played in two halves, each lasting 45 minutes. Vietnam women's U17started proactively and quickly scored the opening goal in the 5th minute. From Minh Anh's pass, Yen Linh controlled the ball neatly before firing a beautiful shot from outside the penalty area into the net, giving the team a 1-0 lead.
However, the opponent quickly equalized in the 12th minute. Following a situation where the ball went out wide, from a cross into the box, the Japanese girls scored directly, leveling the score at 1-1.
In the second half, Aichi Toho University took a 2-1 lead in the 57th minute. Nevertheless, Vietnam's U17 women played resiliently and equalized 2-2 in the 62nd minute thanks to Thanh Lam.
The 2-2 draw against Aichi Toho University concluded Vietnam women's U17's friendly series in Japan, allowing the whole team to accumulate more professional experience, refine the squad, and enhance their competitive spirit before returning home and entering the next preparation phase for the AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup 2026.
