Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem indicates that the heat from the Lach Tray stands is the pillar enabling Hai Phong to excel, continuously securing notable outcomes each time they compete on their home ground.
Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem shared noteworthy comments after Hai Phong Club continued to display impressive form at their Lach Tray home stadium.
In the match on April 11th, the Port City team easily defeated Ho Chi Minh City Police Club with a 3-0 score thanks to a double from Joe Tague and a goal by Pham Trung Hieu. This is also Hai Phong's 7th victory after 10 home matches this season, a record demonstrating remarkable stability at the "fiery cauldron" of Lach Tray.
When asked about the secret to the team consistently playing well at home, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem emphasized the spiritual factor coming from the spectators. “In this match, we played well. Although the first 30 minutes weren't truly stable, after scoring the goal, the whole team performed more effectively, especially in the second half,” he shared.
This strategist particularly highlighted the role of the fans. “When playing at home, the passion of the supporters is a very significant pillar. It helps the players become more excited and compete with the highest spirit,” he added.
On the flip side, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem also admitted the team faces many difficulties when playing away from home. “On away grounds, we encounter strong opponents like Hanoi or Viettel The Cong and haven't had much luck recently,” he candidly acknowledged.
With the 3 points just earned, Hai Phong has climbed to 5th place on the ranking table with 27 points, creating a safe gap from the bottom group. However, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem remains cautious and does not yet wish to discuss longer-term objectives.
“Hai Phong's immediate goal remains to stay in the league. According to calculations, we need around 29 to 30 points for safety. Upon reaching that milestone, the team will continue striving in each match,” he affirmed.
Not only focusing on results, this tactician also places heavy emphasis on the factor of dedication. “The important thing is that the players must compete wholeheartedly, delivering emotional matches for the fans,” he stressed.
The impressive form at Lach Tray is becoming a solid foundation for Hai Phong to pursue their set goals in this season's campaign.
