Vietnam suffers a heavy 0-4 defeat in Australia

Vietnam's U15 women's team experienced a 0-4 defeat against NSW Sky U15 women's team in a friendly match in Australia. Despite the disappointing outcome, this game was rich in learning opportunities for the squad.

On the morning of April 12th, the national team Vietnam's U15 women's team played a friendly match of note against NSW Sky U15 women's team (New South Wales) during their tournament participation in Australia. Despite putting in effort, the Vietnamese representatives still suffered a 0-4 loss to an opponent with a fast-paced and high-pressure style of play.

From the very first minutes, NSW Sky U15 women's team showed initiative. In the 3rd minute, the opponent organized an attack on the wing and produced a dangerous shot that hit the post, before a player rushed in to follow up, scoring an early 1-0 lead for the home team.

After conceding, Vietnam's U15 women's team pushed their formation higher and created some notable situations in the first half. In the 29th minute, Ma Ngoc Anh made a run down the left wing and set up a good opportunity for Ngoc Lan inside the box, but the shot from player number 4 went over the bar, preventing the visiting team from equalizing before halftime.

Moving into the second half, the situation became more difficult for Vietnam's U15 women's team as NSW Sky U15 women's team increased pressure. In the 40th minute, from a free-kick situation on the right wing, the opponent combined quickly and accurately to extend the lead to 2-0, creating a safe margin.

Just minutes later, in the 45th minute, NSW Sky U15 women's team capitalized well on a midfield mistake, organizing a sharp counterattack to score the third goal. By the 54th minute, the home team continued to exploit the flank effectively, utilizing a second-ball situation to seal a 4-0 victory.

Even though a favorable result was not achieved, the match still held significant importance for Vietnam's U15 women's team in terms of international exposure, accumulating experience, and refining skills. According to statistics after the first three matches, the team ranks 3rd on the standings and will face Queensland U15 women's team in the next match scheduled for the same day, April 12th.
