The encounter between Hanoi FC and Hong Linh Ha Tinh in Round 18 of V-League 1 saw the hosts control the majority of the game before cementing their advantage with a 3-0 victory.
Immediately after the opening whistle, Hanoi FC proactively pushed their formation forward. In the 5th minute, the home side created the first opportunity when David Fisher fired a shot from outside the penalty area, but the ball missed the goalpost.
However, Ha Tinh demonstrated they were not to be underestimated. In the 14th minute, following a chaotic situation inside the box, Duc Viet unleashed a powerful strike that rebounded off the post of Van Chuan's goal, startling Hanoi FC's defense.

After an initial period of stalemate, the Capital team gradually increased their pressure. In the 25th minute, the deadlock was broken. Hoàng Hên delivered an exceptionally precise cross into the penalty area, allowing Xuan Manh to rush in and head the ball. The ball hit the post and then went into the net, giving Hanoi FC a 1-0 lead. This goal allowed the home team to play more fluidly, while Ha Tinh maintained a tight defensive approach, waiting for counter-attacking opportunities.
In the 37th minute, Hanoi FC nearly doubled their lead. Hoàng Hên dribbled on the right flank and then made a skillful outside-foot cross, setting up David Fisher for a high jump and header. The ball struck the crossbar, missing a regrettable chance for the hosts.
Towards the end of the first half, a controversial incident occurred. In the 45+4th minute, Thanh Chung pushed down Atshimene Charles in a play that could have led to a goal, and the referee issued a direct red card. However, after consulting VAR, the decision was overturned because the Ha Tinh player had previously touched the ball with his hand. Hanoi FC avoided the risk of playing with fewer men and concluded the first half with a 1-0 advantage.

Moving into the second half, Hanoi FC continued to dominate the match. In the 53rd minute, Hung Dung crossed from the left flank for Hai Long to head the ball, sending it just over the top edge of the crossbar.
The home team maintained constant pressure, and what was expected eventually happened. In the 66th minute, Hai Long broke through to the baseline and crossed in; Daniel Floro Da Silva provided a smooth wall pass for Hoàng Hên to execute a technical move, bypassing both the defender and the goalkeeper before shooting into the empty net, raising the score to 2-0.
The match was completely controlled by the Capital team. In the 72nd minute, Hanoi FC orchestrated a sharp attack on the left wing. Hai Long delivered an accurate cross to the far post for Daniel Floro Da Silva to leap high and head the ball into Ha Tinh's net, increasing the score to 3-0. In the remaining minutes, Ha Tinh hardly created any significant opportunities as Hanoi FC's defense played solidly and controlled the pace of the game.
In the 83rd minute, Luiz Fernando Nascimento put the ball into Ha Tinh's net for the fourth time, but the goal was not recognized due to a teammate's foul earlier.
Nevertheless, this did not affect the match's outcome. Hanoi FC concluded the game with a convincing 3-0 victory, on a day when Hoàng Hên and Hai Long stood out, contributing greatly to the Capital team securing all three points.
