Chelsea coach admits something about Enzo after loss to Man City

Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior acknowledges the team's difficulties without midfielder Enzo Fernandez, who was suspended during the home defeat against Man City.

Enzo is an excellent player and also a great person.”

Chelsea's collapse in the second half particularly concerned the strategist, especially as the team has failed to score in three consecutive Premier League matches. After a balanced first half, the home side quickly lost control when Man City broke the deadlock.

Rosenior stated: “The second half was not good enough. This is a recurring story over the past month about how we handle adversity. When trailing against such a strong team, the crucial thing in the following five minutes is to maintain composure. But the second half was truly very difficult. I cannot say the players lacked effort, but they lacked confidence.”

As Chelsea prepares to host third-placed Man Utd in a crucial match next week, Rosenior takes full responsibility for the declining form and calls for a strong response from the entire team.

He emphasized: “I take responsibility. This is a collective group and we need to improve. Everything starts from habits and core values. We must progress. Currently, the team is in a difficult phase and faces another big match ahead.

It cannot be forgotten that we just faced a team in very high form competing for the title. But we need to win matches like these. That is why I came to the club.”

This defeat drops The Blues to sixth place in the Premier League standings, four points behind Liverpool in the race for a top-five spot and a Champions League qualification ticket.
