Bruno Fernandes' stay at Manchester United next season is confirmed, but he has set a condition for the club: they must have the ambition to compete for the Premier League title. The 31-year-old B Fernandes has never won a league title in his career so far, only claiming a few cup trophies.

This season, B Fernandes has scored 8 goals and provided 16 assists for Manchester United, leading the team toward the goal of returning to the Champions League. Therefore, B Fernandes, who was once considered a sellable asset by the club last year, has now become a player Manchester United eagerly wants to retain.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reveals that Manchester United is close to securing a return to the Champions League, which is a key factor in attracting B Fernandes to stay.
Romano said: "I can tell you that in recent weeks, the prospect of playing in the Champions League again for Manchester United has greatly influenced B Fernandes. Currently, I say that Saudi Arabian interests still want Bruno, just like three years, two years, one year ago—they remain interested in Bruno. But Bruno really wants to play in the Champions League with Manchester United, so Manchester United is optimistic about keeping him next season. Let's see how the negotiations develop and what the final outcome will be. But Manchester United is optimistic, and after the season ends, Bruno and Manchester United will have a dialogue; we can closely monitor the developments. Manchester United certainly hopes to keep Bruno and will try hard to retain him."
B Fernandes' contract with Manchester United has one year left, plus an additional season's club extension option. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, B Fernandes did not explicitly commit to staying, but he hinted at the condition for continuing to play for the Red Devils: Manchester United must aim for the Premier League title.

"I told the club that I want to compete for titles," B Fernandes said. "Every player who joins Manchester United wants to win all trophies. No one feels that we came to the club for six years just to win one or two cups. You want to fight for all honors. Every time I communicate with the club, I say that during my time here, my goal is to give my all. If I give my all, we can get close to winning titles; if I don't give my all, surely we will achieve nothing."
B Fernandes clearly stated that Manchester United's absence from the Premier League title since 2013 is abnormal and has lasted too long. "I always tell the club: you don't need to guarantee me that we will win the Premier League title—that's unreliable. But you can assure me that we will strive to remain competitive and fight until the end. That is enough. I must be the best version of myself and help every teammate around me to be their best selves, then the club can become what we want it to be."
Under Michael Carrick's management, Manchester United has performed well, but B Fernandes does not believe this alone ensures a return to peak performance in the future. "If we finish the season in the way we want, it will look good, but it still isn't the outcome we expect. Ultimately, the key lies in what we do next season, how we maintain this form over a full season. Maintaining high standards throughout an entire season is more difficult; any Premier League team can have a period of brilliance, but sustaining it long-term—that's what we haven't achieved yet. At least since I joined Manchester United, we haven't achieved it. In Ole Gunnar Solskjær's second season, which was also my second season, we started excellently, but after January, Manchester City fired up and we only finished second."
Regarding what Manchester United needs to do to win the Premier League, B Fernandes clearly stated: "We need to maintain consistency. We need to understand that there is no time to rest, no time to relax. We must realize that in a full league season, every point is crucial, and every small detail can make a difference."

B Fernandes will turn 32 this summer. He already completed the UEFA B-level coaching certificate course five years ago alongside Manchester United teammates Mata and Maguire. The Red Devils captain revealed that he coached the young talent dubbed "Manchester United's youth Phil Foden," Shay Lacey. "I coached Lacey when he was 14!" B Fernandes said. "I told him he has changed, grown up. And now he listens more than before! Back then, you could see he was different from others."
