After the 2025/26 V-League season concludes, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem will leave Hai Phong Club to move to Ninh Binh.

Ninh Binh Club contacted Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem while his contract with Hai Phong Club, which has less than 6 months remaining, is about to end.

Both sides have reached a preliminary agreement. The contract is valid until the end of the 2028/29 season and awaits finalization upon the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem joined Hai Phong before the 2022 V-League. Despite limited resources, even needing to borrow players, he helped the home team at Lach Tray Stadium finish second in the group.

Over the past three seasons, Hai Phong Club finished 6th (2023), 7th (2023-2024), and 6th (2024-2025). After 19 rounds this season, Hai Phong is currently 6th with 27 points.

Ninh Binh Club appointed Vu Tien Thanh as interim coach, achieving a record of two wins, one draw, and one loss in V-League.

By April 15, the team selected Bae Ji Won to lead until the end of the season, while Mr. Thanh moved up to Technical Director.

9 players suspended in V-League round 20.

In round 20 of the LPBank V-League 2025/26, 9 players were suspended according to the announcement from the tournament organizers.

First is the case of Hanoi FC's center-back Thanh Chung. This player received a red card and was suspended for the match against Ninh Binh.

Hai Phong also won't have their strongest lineup when playing away against HAGL as striker Tagueu is suspended due to accumulating three yellow cards.

Other players suspended in round 20 of the V-League 2025/2026 include: Nguyen Anh Tuan, Ha Van Viet (PVF CAND), Nguyen Trong Hoang (Ha Tinh), Phan Van Biu (Da Nang), Nguyen Duc Hoang Minh (The Cong Viettel), Phan Van Duc (CAHN), and Hoang Van Khanh (SLNA).

This afternoon, two early matches of round 20 will take place: HAGL hosts Hai Phong at Pleiku Stadium, and Ninh Binh faces Hanoi FC.

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Vice President Tran Anh Tu continues to receive trust from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as he is assigned to serve as Head of the AFC Delegation overseeing Beach Football at the Asian Beach Games 2026.

VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu is currently a member of the AFC Futsal and Beach Football Committee. He is also known as one of the pioneers who laid the foundation and strongly promoted the development of Vietnamese futsal.

The Beach Football event at this year's Games gathers 7 teams, divided into two groups. Group A includes China, Oman, and Palestine; while Group B features Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and UAE. Teams play a single round-robin format within each group, with the top two teams advancing to the semifinals. The winners of the semifinals compete for the Gold medal, while the losers compete for the Bronze medal.

Beach Football matches will take place from April 23 to 29 in Sanya, Hainan (China). Organizational work is being carried out comprehensively, ensuring professional standards and competition conditions as stipulated by AFC.
