Sacking Coach Liam Rosenior: Chelsea's Turmoil

In the 0-3 loss to Brighton, Coach Liam Rosenior clearly demonstrated his helplessness with the Chelsea players. The Blues collective truly crumbled as the head coach, players, and fans turned against each other. That defeat nearly extinguished Chelsea's hopes of securing a Champions League spot.

The Stamford Bridge hosts continued their disappointing form streak, winning only one of their last nine matches across all competitions, while also setting a sad record for the longest goal drought in Premier League history.

Chelsea at this moment has not only lost its form but also its identity. The prospect of missing next season's Champions League is increasingly clear, bringing risks of collapse in both finances and long-term strategy.

The scenes from the match against Brighton vividly depicted a Chelsea crumbling both in spirit and style of play. In the stands, shouts demanding the immediate sacking of the head coach and banners with messages urging this strategist to leave appeared.

The fracture was also evident on the pitch when captain Enzo Fernandez performed a controversial action, shrugging towards the away fans' stands after the final whistle. That moment epitomized a Chelsea lacking connection, responsibility, and even belief.

In each of their matches now, the players almost have no chance to retaliate. Statistics show Chelsea is the team outpaced in speed by opponents in all 34 Premier League matches this season. With current form, competing for a Champions League spot next season is very difficult, and the risk of finishing the season in the bottom half of the table is entirely possible.

Messages from the coaching staff seem no longer received by the players. Notably, Coach Rosenior's directives were not implemented by the players in each match.

On the attacking front, Chelsea endured four consecutive Premier League matches without scoring, and in the recent match against Brighton they even failed to register a single shot on target.

Injury could be part of the reason as Chelsea lacked Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, and Estevao, but it's hard to use that as an excuse for a squad costing £1 billion. Names like Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho, or Liam Delap couldn't make a difference.

Recent failures further exposed the crisis in The Blues' development model under Rosenior. Chelsea attempted reconstruction, but the path they chose revealed too many problems. His tactical changes, from experimenting with a 5-3-2 formation to switching to a 4-2-3-1 mid-match, only made things more chaotic.

It is time for Chelsea to seriously reconsider its direction before everything becomes irreparable.

After only three months in charge, Liam Rosenior had to leave as Chelsea plunged into severe crisis both in results and fan confidence.

Under this coach, Chelsea lost 7 out of 8 matches, including five consecutive Premier League defeats without scoring. The Blues also failed to beat major rivals. They lost to Arsenal three times, lost to PSG in the Champions League, and continued to fall against Man City and Man United.

The season is nearing its conclusion, but for Chelsea, the crisis seems still without an end. Chelsea has chosen Calum McFarlane as interim coach until the season ends.
