Vietnam Stadium Construction Speed Sparks Buzz, Faster Than Building a House in Australia

Midfielder Stefan Mauk (Hanoi Police Club) drew attention by expressing strong impressions about the construction speed of stadiums in Vietnam, stating that the progress of PVF Stadium construction is even faster than completing a house in Australia.

The player currently representing Hanoi Police Club recently caught attention when sharing a surprising perspective on stadium construction speed in Vietnam. On his personal Instagram page, the Australian foreign player posted a story related to the PVF Stadium project in Hung Yen, accompanied by a humorous yet equally impressive remark:

These people are amazing. In Vietnam, they build a 65,000-seat stadium faster than the construction time for a house in Australia..” This statement quickly attracted the interest of fans, especially in the context of Vietnamese football intensifying investment in large-scale infrastructure.

In reality, the PVF Stadium project is one of the key sports facilities currently in Vietnam. The project commenced construction in mid-October 2025 in Nghia Tru commune, Hung Yen province, covering an area of approximately 55,000 m² with a planned capacity of up to 60,000 seats. Not merely a football stadium, PVF Stadium is also envisioned to become a center for organizing regional-level sports, cultural, and tourism activities.

Notably, just about five months after construction began, the project completed land clearance, one of the crucial and often time-consuming phases in large-scale projects. Additionally, temporary facilities such as material storage yards and worker rest areas have also been finished, ready to support the main construction phase.

Currently, the PVF Stadium construction site is entering the implementation phase with a large workload, mobilizing numerous machinery, materials, and manpower. To ensure progress, workers operate continuously day and night, creating an urgent construction atmosphere from the very first steps.

According to the design, PVF Stadium aims for high international standards, capable of hosting major sports events like the Olympics, ASIAD, or even the World Cup in the future. The facility is part of a sports and service complex spanning up to 920,000 m², with a synchronized infrastructure system. The parking area alone occupies about 180,000 m².

This stadium is also equipped with a series of modern amenities such as four standard stands, an operations center, technical zones, security areas, press rooms, player zones, and premium VIP sections. Notably, PVF Stadium features several technological highlights first introduced in Vietnam, including a fully automated retractable roof, advanced hybrid grass pitch, and VIP areas with panoramic balcony designs and exclusive services.

Stefan Mauk's statement somewhat reflects the impression of foreign players regarding the development speed of football infrastructure in Vietnam, a factor expected to provide a significant boost for future ambitions to reach higher levels.
