Coach Harry Kewell shares his first impressions of working in the V-League and reveals his experiences after over six months leading Hanoi Club.
During over 40 minutes of interview with Football360, his first interview as head coach of Hanoi Club, Coach Harry Kewell was full of energy and ready for a new day in Vietnam.
"As a football lover who has dedicated his life to it, I've had the chance to work in many interesting places, and Vietnam is one of them. I truly enjoy this experience.
It's a challenge, but what I appreciate is the attitude of the players and the club. They want to learn and improve.

When I first arrived, I looked at the facilities and thought this would be a challenge. But within a few months, the club has met all my requirements.
The training ground now looks like Wembley. I have two pitches of perfect quality, which is very important, because you cannot ask players to play a certain way without suitable pitch conditions. What I need most are students ready to learn.
And that is exactly what I see here, players who want to improve and absorb what I bring."
"In life, you have opportunities to experience something different, and I believe if you have that chance—whether traveling, working abroad, or simply exploring something new—you should seize it.
Because when you see it on TV or in movies, everything looks great, but when you actually go there, feel it, breathe it, and live in that environment, it's a completely different experience.
I am very grateful, not only for my career with its ups and downs, but also for what I've always been fortunate to have: the opportunity to experience many different cultures.

The training ground now looks like Wembley. I have two pitches of perfect quality, which is very important.
That is precisely what has brought me to where I am today; I can say I've been here, lived here, experienced all these things.
Not everyone can say that. Some might say I'm lucky, that I've had opportunities others didn't, but I've worked very hard and put myself in positions many simply weren't willing to take," Coach Harry Kewell emphasized.
Coach Kewell is making his mark at Hanoi FC. This club is the most successful in V-League history with 6 championships, most recently in 2022.
When Kewell took over, the team was in 6th place. Currently, Hanoi Club has climbed to 4th and is one of the highest-scoring teams in the league.
