Korean Coach Speaks Directly About Hoang Duc After Loss to Hanoi

The loss to Hanoi FC reduced the distance between Ninh Binh and their opponent on the ranking table to only 1 point. Post-match, Coach Bae Ji Won addressed the situation of midfielder Hoang Duc in a noteworthy manner.

At the start of the press conference, the Korean strategist admitted: “We anticipated this would be a very difficult match, both for us and for the players on Hanoi FC's side”.

Although Ninh Binh had periods of good play and created significant pressure, defensive errors and personnel issues prevented the team from maintaining a positive outcome. One notable point was Hoang Duc not starting but only entering from the bench in the second half. Regarding this question, Coach Bae Ji Won directly explained: “Hoang Duc came on in the second half, but the injury is still causing him pain. The coaching staff does not want Hoang Duc's injury to worsen. I hope Hoang Duc will recover well in the upcoming period."

Not risking using Hoang Duc from the start shows the Ninh Binh coaching staff is being very cautious with the most crucial pillar in the midfield. The 1998-born midfielder is still considered the soul of the team's playstyle, and his absence noticeably affects match control capability.

Even without optimal physical condition, when introduced in the second half, Hoang Duc quickly made a difference through his ball distribution and created many dangerous opportunities for teammates. Coach Bae Ji Won also highly praised the role of the Vietnam national team midfielder: “

When on the field, Hoang Duc creates many scoring chances. He is a player with excellent skill and quality. When Hoang Duc recovers from injury, the team's play will improve”.

Asked about the standings situation after the loss, which narrowed the gap with Hanoi FC to just 1 point, Coach Bae Ji Won remained calm and expressed optimism. He emphasized: “

This is a difficult situation. I think we still have many possibilities to win in upcoming matches. In terms of match dynamics, we had periods dominating against Hanoi FC. I am satisfied with what we have, will strive to correct mistakes and continue efforts”.

Although the defeat significantly increased pressure, with Hoang Duc's gradual return and the coaching staff's confidence, Ninh Binh Club still retains full opportunity to breakthrough in the decisive phase of the season.
