OFFICIAL: Mason Mount Announces Becoming a Coach

Midfielder Mason Mount announces he will take on the role of leading the team of Make-A-Wish UK, a charity organization in the UK aimed at bringing joy and fulfilling dreams for children with serious illnesses.

Recently, Mason Mount confirmed he will assume the role of coach for a Wishes United FC team in a special match organized by Make-A-Wish UK, a UK charity, marking a completely new experience compared to his familiar work on the pitch.

Appearing in a video on the Make-A-Wish UK Instagram page, Mount announced: "Hello everyone, I have some news to share. At the end of this month, things will change a bit for me. For just one day, I will become a coach and lead a very special, inspiring team.

Football gave me so much when I was young, and it also means a lot to many children across the country. Those are memories, moments they will never forget. So, together with the Make-A-Wish UK organization, we are going to do something truly special.

We will bring together children who have faced many challenges, and together we will make their wishes come true. I am really excited to get started."

His announcement comes during a challenging period at the club level. Man Utd is currently in a transition phase after appointing Michael Carrick as interim manager, replacing Ruben Amorim who departed in January. Despite losing only 2 of their last 12 domestic matches, the team has not yet fully stabilized.

Mount himself has faced many difficulties since joining from Chelsea in the summer of 2023. Repeated injuries have prevented him from maintaining a consistent playing rhythm and stable form. Recently, the star born in 1999 returned after another setback and is striving to regain his best feeling during a crucial phase of the season.

Nevertheless, whenever he plays, Mount still leaves a certain impact with 3 goals and 1 assist after 19 appearances in domestic competitions. However, the pressure on him remains immense, especially given the high expectations at Old Trafford.
