Yamal officially speaks out after suffering an injury and missing the rest of the season.

The young star Lamine Yamal has officially addressed the hamstring injury he incurred during the Barcelona versus Celta Vigo match, and has stated that he will come back more robust in the coming period.

The 18-year-old forward suffered the injury while successfully executing a penalty kick in Barcelona's 1-0 victory. Following this incident, Yamal limped off the pitch amid concerns from the coaching staff and fans, especially with the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to commence in less than two months.

Barcelona subsequently confirmed that Yamal sustained a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. This is a significant loss for the Catalan club as they are closing in on their second consecutive La Liga title, having established a 11-point gap over their arch-rival Real Madrid.

On his personal page, Yamal could not hide his disappointment: "This injury forces me away from the pitch at a time when I most want to play. That pain is greater than words can describe. I am saddened that I cannot fight alongside my teammates when the team needs me."

Nevertheless, the young talent of Spanish football displayed an optimistic spirit: "I believe in my teammates and will always be with them, even from outside the field. This is not the end, just a pause. I will return stronger, and next season will be better."

Previously, there were concerns about Yamal potentially suffering a serious muscle injury. The recovery time for such injuries can range from several days to several months depending on severity. However, Barcelona reassured that the player could still recover in time to participate in the World Cup.

At the tournament hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the Spanish national team will kick off on June 15 against Cape Verde, before successively facing Uruguay and Saudi Arabia in the group stage.

This season, Yamal has been demonstrating impressive form with 24 goals and 17 assists across 44 matches in all competitions, becoming one of the most crucial figures in Barcelona's pursuit of titles as well as for the Spanish national team.
