VFF takes concrete actions to develop women's football.

The Vietnam Football Federation conducts surveys and promotes women's football development in Lam Dong.

Implementing the Vietnam Football Federation's (VFF) Women's Football Development Strategy and the UEFA/AFC Women's Football Development Support Program, from April 21 to April 23, 2026, the VFF working delegation conducted a working visit and field survey of women's football activities in Lam Dong – a locality assessed to possess significant potential for future women's football development.

The VFF working delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Van Phu – General Secretary; along with Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary, Head of the UEFA/AFC Women's Football Project; representatives from VFF functional departments including the Technical Department, Training – Grassroots Football & Member Organization Department; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan – Head Coach of the national U15 women's football team.

With a population of nearly 4 million, the largest area nationwide, abundant human resources, especially many ethnic minority girls with good physique, physical condition, and passion for football, Lam Dong is assessed as one of the localities rich in potential for building a women's football force in the future.

During the working trip, the delegation directly surveyed resources, infrastructure conditions, and the actual status of women's football activities in the locality to establish specific development directions for the coming period.

The players participating in the survey belonged to various age groups, demonstrating a good professional foundation, positive competitive spirit, and noteworthy development potential. After the evaluation process, experts including Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Kiet – Assistant Coach of the national women's futsal team, Head Coach of Thai Son Nam women's futsal club; Mr. Trang Thiện Trân – Coach of Ho Chi Minh City U16 women's football club; along with Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan – Head Coach of the national U15 women's football team selected some outstanding players for continued training and development in the future.

The working trip in Lam Dong not only demonstrates VFF's determination to expand and enhance the quality of women's football nationwide but also opens new opportunities for Lam Dong women's football to develop strongly, contributing quality human resources to Vietnamese women's football in the future.
