After a series of rumors in recent times, the future of Coach Shin Tae-yong in Indonesia has finally been clarified. The Korean strategist has officially accepted the role of coaching Indonesia's mini soccer team (7-a-side football), marking a notable return to this Southeast Asian country.

This information was confirmed when media received invitations to attend the press conference announcing the new head coach, scheduled for April 30, 2026 in Jakarta. Notably, the invitation letter clearly stated: "Regarding the organization of the event: Press Conference announcing Indonesian 7-a-side Football and introducing Coach Shin Tae-yong", thus confirming his new role.

The event is organized by the Indonesian Football 7 Federation, combined with the official introduction of Shin Tae-yong in his new position. According to plan, the coach born in 1970 will directly lead the mini soccer team Indonesia to participate in the 2026 Intercontinental Cup held in Italy.

This is an important international competition, gathering many strong teams in the 7-a-side format, requiring high tactical awareness and speed. With experience previously coaching the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong is expected to help the team quickly elevate its level.
