Bruno Fernandes shines again, Manchester United strengthens its 3rd position in the Premier League

Manchester United is moving very close to securing a Champions League ticket for next season after a 2-1 victory over Brentford at Old Trafford, in a match where Bruno Fernandes' impact once again became the most significant highlight.

In the 43rd minute, Fernandes delivered a classy pass, bypassing the entire opposing defense for Benjamin Sesko to calmly finish, raising the score to 2-0. This was already the 19th assist of the Portuguese midfielder in the Premier League this season – just one short of the record held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

In the second half, manager Michael Carrick proactively adjusted tactics to reinforce the defense. This change helped Manchester United better control the match, although they no longer maintained continuous pressure as before.

Brentford fought until the final minutes and was rewarded with a superb goal by Mathias Jensen to reduce the deficit in the 87th minute. However, that was all the visiting team could achieve.

This victory brings Manchester United very close to securing a Champions League spot for next season as they have established a safe distance from the chasing group.
