Just five minutes into the game, Kai Havertz found the back of PSG's net in the 2025-26 Champions League final.
PSG aimed to impose their style early on against Arsenal. However, a mistake cost them relatively quickly. From a not-too-dangerous play in midfield, Marquinhos attempted to clear the ball, but it deflected off Troussard and fell into Havertz's path.
The German player surged forward with his exceptional speed. He charged straight toward the PSG goal. When in a very tight angle, many expected Havertz to pass back, but instead he shot. A powerful strike from close range sent the ball rocketing into the PSG net, leaving goalkeeper Safonov helpless. There was no chance for the Russian keeper to save such a close-range blast.

The Champions League final had started in a "dreamlike" fashion for Arsenal.
Notably, this is not the first time Kai Havertz has scored in a Champions League final. Previously, he netted the only goal to help Chelsea beat Manchester City 1-0 in the 2020-21 final.
This season, Havertz has also scored crucial goals for Arsenal in their journey to end a 22-year Premier League title drought.
