Despite securing a 3-1 victory against Hoang Anh Gia Lai in the final round, the club from Thu Duc could not control its own fate. The wins by SHB Da Nang over Dong A Thanh Hoa and PVF-CAND over Song Lam Nghe An sealed their Becamex TPHCM’s official relegation as the season wrapped up.

Right after the final whistle, the four-time V-League champion sent a message to its fans: "The final whistle also closes a season that fell short of expectations. We understand the disappointment, sadness, and emotions that fans are feeling after an incomplete season. That is also something the entire team has been and continues to reflect on. "

In the post, Becamex TPHCM acknowledged that what the team displayed on the pitch had not met fans’ expectations, while offering a sincere apology to the audience who had always loved, trusted, and stood by the club.
