VFF raises the entry standards for Vietnam's top coach training course

The VFF is continuing to evaluate the capabilities of coaches who have signed up for the AFC/VFF ‘A’ certification program in Hanoi.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) continues to implement the competency assessment program for coaches registered for the AFC/VFF ‘A’ certificate course, marking the next step in the plan to improve the quality of the coaching workforce nationwide. After the first assessment in Ho Chi Minh City, the program was held in Hanoi on June 9 and 10, with the participation of many experienced figures in coaching.

This assessment round took place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, gathering 21 coaches from clubs and training centers in the northern region. One notable name is Coach Đoàn Thị Kim Chi, who leads the HCMC Women's Club and is one of the most accomplished female coaches in Vietnamese football.

The VFF is continuing to hold capacity evaluations for coaches joining the AFC/VFF 'A' course in Hanoi.

According to the direction of VFF Technical Director Koshida Takeshi, the test content is designed with high professional requirements, approaching the entry standards of the Professional Coach (PRO) course. This not only helps select suitable candidates for the AFC/VFF ‘A’ course but also motivates coaches to proactively improve their skills and update modern football knowledge.

Participating in the evaluation were Mr. Koshida Takeshi and Mr. Lê Huỳnh Đức, a member of the National Coaches Council and a VFF instructor. Besides the theoretical part, practical tests were conducted with the support of young players from the PVF Youth Football Training Center and Viettel Club, ensuring the assessment closely mirrored real coaching situations.

There were 21 coaches from the northern region taking part in this examination round.

Although Hanoi experienced rainy weather on both days of the program, the assessment activities proceeded as planned. The participants worked continuously from morning to afternoon at a high intensity, demonstrating a serious spirit and determination to meet the professional requirements set by the organizers.

Not only serving as a competency test, this assessment also became a forum for professional exchange among coaches who had previously attended AFC/VFF courses. Through that, the VFF continues to build a learning and experience-sharing environment for the domestic coaching staff, contributing to a solid foundation for the sustainable development of Vietnamese football in the future.
