Two Manchester United players have requested transfers, making their summer departures inevitable. Onana complains that Amorim ruined his career prospects.

The Manchester United first team currently has four players confirmed to leave: Hojlund, Casemiro, Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia, with additional departures to come, including goalkeepers Radek Vitek and Altay Bayindir, both of whom have asked the club for a transfer.

According to British Sky Sports, the 22-year-old Czech goalkeeper Vitek will be offloaded during the summer window. He was on loan last season at Bristol City in the Championship, where he performed well, sweeping all the club's end-of-season top awards: Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and Players' Player of the Year.

Manchester United had hoped Vitek would stay as a backup goalkeeper, as he qualifies as a homegrown player, which helps with Champions League registration. However, after a season as a starter, Vitek made it clear he does not want to remain a reserve long-term, and therefore intends to leave the club to continue his career elsewhere.

Manchester United understands Vitek's position and will sell him. In Carrick's squad, Senna Lammers, who joined for £18 million, is certainly the first-choice goalkeeper, set to play in the Premier League and Champions League. Vitek would at most feature in the EFL Cup and FA Cup, with only around 2 to 10 appearances per season, which is not conducive to his long-term development. Moreover, Lammers is only one year older than Vitek, so staying at Old Trafford would likely mean a prolonged spell on the bench.

BBC's Simon Stone explained: "Vitek wants to continue as a starter next season, so it is now expected that he will leave, possibly on another loan or a permanent transfer with a buy-back clause. United hopes his future will be resolved before the start of pre-season, otherwise only Tom Heaton and a few academy goalkeepers will be available."

Currently, Vitek is valued at €6 million by Transfermarkt, and his potential selling price is around £10 million. Vitek joined Manchester United in July 2020 and is already considered a homegrown player, so any transfer fee received would be pure profit, which is beneficial for the club.

Altay Bayindir, the 28-year-old Turkish international who has served as Manchester United's backup goalkeeper for the past three years, has also requested a transfer to gain more playing time. Many clubs in Turkey would be willing to take on the national team's backup World Cup goalkeeper.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed: "Manchester United's current plan is for Bayindir to leave. He wants to play more matches. As a result, United may need to sign a new backup goalkeeper. Tom Heaton will remain as the third-choice after renewing his contract."

According to rumors, Manchester United is interested in signing 33-year-old goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from relegated Premier League side Wolves, or 35-year-old veteran Karl Darlow from Leeds United, to serve as the second-choice goalkeeper. Johnstone is a former Manchester United academy player, while Darlow is available on a free transfer as his contract expires, each offering their own advantages.

However, their arrivals depend on the future of 30-year-old Cameroonian international Andre Onana. Onana currently plans to return to Manchester United early next month, but the club has told him he is no longer in Carrick's future plans.

Trabzonspor, who have Onana on loan this season, want to keep him. Club chairman Ertuğrul Doğan insisted: "I think Andre (Onana) will stay with the team. We have met his salary demands. The fans also like him; he is a good person, and there will be no issues between us. I don't think he will find the same interest anywhere else, so I believe he will remain with the team."

Trabzonspor still needs to reach an agreement with Manchester United on the transfer structure. United needs to sell for around £20 million to avoid a loss, which may exceed the Turkish club's budget, making another season-long loan for Onana more likely.
